Lunathi Mngxuma was born in 1998 in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. He was introduced to photography in high school through the Of Soul and Joy project, in Thokoza in 2016. He exhibited his project on ‘Urban Farming’ in 2018 at Stop Sign Gallery, in Johannesburg. He is currently embarking on an intermediate photography programme at The Market Photo Workshop in Johannesburg.
He got into photography as a hobby which later developed into a career, and he enjoys telling stories through images. He is currently part of Of Soul and Joy project in Thokoza.
